The London Sessions - Mary J. Blige

Mary J. Blige has always been one of my favorite R & B singers, and with eight multi-platinum albums, nine Grammy Awards (plus a staggering 31 nominations), a 2012 Golden Globe nomination, and four American Music Awards, Mary J Blige is now a global superstar.   I recently got a chance to review her newest album and it is a stripped down version of the voice that we all recognize.

This album sounds different and yet, has that familiar feeling.  It seems old and new, at the same time.    Blige spent a month in London, writing and the result has the same honesty about life that we have come to expect from this amazing talent - but, it is also full of open and uplifting messages.  You can be down, but you don't have to stay down.

The second track, "Doubt," has an amazing message about surpassing someone's expectations - yet, at what cost?  We truly see ourselves, through others' eyes.

"When You're Gone" and "Long Hard Look" stress that the grass isn't always greener, on the other side.

I love that "Pick Me Up" shows hope and that there is a better future, ahead.

My favorite, lyrically, is "Worth My Time."  This song tells the story of a relationship, where you know it is worth the fight and you just have to get over that hump.  All relationships hit rocky spots - the strong survive it.  We all want to be that couple that survives.

For her newest addition to her resume, she collaborated with Disclosure, Eg White, Emile Sandé, Jimmy Napes, Naughty Boy, SAM ROMANS and Sam Smith – and recorded The London SessionsThis extraordinary new collection will be released December 2 on Capitol Records

I love tea tree oil. Really, I do.

I recently got a free HUGE 4 oz bottle, for being a Tomoson member, in exchange for me trying it out and letting you know what I think.

I use it all the time. It is one of the most versatile essential oils, naturally fighting Acne, Fungus, Lice, Yeast Infections, Skin Tags, Cold Sores, Dandruff, Fleas, Warts, Psoriasis, and More.

You can even add it to your own Shampoo, Lotion, Soap, Face Cleaner, Body Wash, and Toothpaste.

Many essential oils are diluted to cut costs. This bottle is 100% pure. I have tried other brands, as well. I didn't like the smell of this one, as much - but, the quality makes up for the smell.

You can make all natural: Household Cleaners, Detergents, Shower Sprays, Bathroom Disinfectants, and Kitchen Sprays.

 Here is your first recipe:

NEED:
Soap Dispenser (cleaned with hot water and dried)
1/2 tbsp Apothecary Extracts Tea Tree Oil
1 lemon, juiced
1 cup seal salt (medium fine grains)
2 drops lemon essential oil
1/3 cup olive oil

MIX IT: Add all ingredients into a wooden mixing gown and stir until well blended. Pour mixture into empty soap dispenser and place in bathroom and kitchen.

I have told so many people about using tea tree oil. It is a natural antifungal, antibacterial, and antimicrobial.

Try it out. I double-dog dare you.  Here is a link for the product, on Amazon:

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

NEW COPPERTONE® CLEARLYSheer™

As you probably know by now, I am a BzzAgent.  I LOVE this program.  I get to try new products, review them for you, and I earn points by doing it, as well.  BzzAgent wants me to give my REAL opinion.  I don't have to fluff it up - they really want to know what I (and those I share with) are thinking.

With that being said - here is my newest BzzKit.
I got samples of the New COPPERTONE® CLEARLYSheer™ sunscreens.  With face-friendly formulas that are lightweight and absorb quickly, they have created products that you I can wear all day, throughout many different situations.  All day, playing at the pool or at work, training dogs - I know I'm covered.

They are moisturizing formulas that don't clog pores and have new fragrances, as well.  Honestly, to me, the waterproof For Beach & Pool still smells like ol' fashioned sunblock.  However, the For Sunny Days version smells wonderful!  Although, I never really minded the ol' fashioned sunblock smell - I adore the scent of the COPPERTONE® CLEARLYSheer™ For Sunny Days.  It really did absorb quickly and I didn't even know I was wearing it.

Check them out and tell me what you think.  If you need a coupon, just let me know.

CLEARLYSHEER™ FOR SUNNY DAYS:
Clean and light formulas are ideal for everyday use under makeup with a fresh citrus scent that’s appropriate for routine daily activities.

CLEARLYSHEER™ FOR BEACH & POOL:
Delightfully light, refreshing formulas feel clean on skin, are water resistant for up to 80 minutes and have a subtle tropical fruit and flower fragrance.

The Great UGLee Ergonomic Pen

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. For my first promotion, through them, I received samples of The Great UGLee Pen!  I opened my package and there were three pens, which really surprised me.

I have been using my ergonomic pen  for over a week, at work, and I must say that I really do like it.  It is certainly ugly, but the soft outer covering really does minimize finger strain and calluses.  I would recommend this product to anyone who writes on a regular basis.  Doctors, lawyers, students, etc. would all benefit from switching from a normal pen to this choice.  Give it a try and tell me what you think.

Product Description
The UGLee Pen is good for everyone who writes (even just a grocery list), and is especially helpful to people who experience pain and discomfort when writing, for example those with arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc., and for all children who are learning to write and are developing fine motor skills. It is also helpful for special-needs children who find holding a pen or pencil properly difficult. And for high-school and college students who have to take copious notes, this pen helps keep hands and fingers from cramping.

Celestial Seasonings Green Tea

You may know, by now, that I am a member of many sample/review sites and survey sites.  I recently got a promotion for Celestial Seasonings, through  .com.

I love Celestial Seasonings Green Tea.   It is so light and delicate.  CS has long been a favorite brand of mine and I was so excited to be picked for this promotion.  I received free samples of both the Sleepytime Lemon Jasmine (Decaf) and Green Tea with Honey Lemon Ginseng.

""Here’s a taste that’s excitingly different, yet comfortingly familiar. We’ve added smooth, decaffeinated green tea, enchantingly fragrant jasmine and 20% of your daily antioxidant Vitamin C to Sleepytime’s time-honored blend of floral chamomile, cool spearmint and lively lemongrass. This calming green tea is a delightful new way to wind down your day with Sleepytime!" — Charlie Baden, Celestial Seasonings Blendmaster"

"In this spirited blend, sweet honey, lively lemon and spicy, earthy ginseng provide a well-balanced and flavorful addition to our smooth blend of authentic green tea and delicate Bai Mu Dan white tea — one of the rarest and youngest of teas." — Charlie Baden, Celestial Seasonings Blendmaster

I love their sleeyptime teas.  They are so relaxing.  And, the Honey Lemon Ginseng Green Tea is very smooth - no bite at all, I think, due to the White Tea that is added.  Yummy!  Helps soothe an irritated throat, too, thanks to the honey and lemon.  I am a singer, who has asthma - so, I tend to cough a lot and this really helps soothe my throat.

Give them a try and tell me what you think.
